Upon completion of massage school in 1998 from Sterling Health Center in Addison Texas I continue to pursue advanced training classes, usually completing approximately 50 hours a year. Some of the earlier years included pre-natal, post-natal, labor and delivery, pregnancy and infant massage; upper and lower extremity (arms and legs). Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Heated Stone, Warm Bamboo, Trigger Point, Myofacial Release, Head, Neck and Shoulder; Migraine Headache and even received my Massage Therapy Instructor License which I maintained for awhile, but decided I loved giving massage more than teaching it.
Later , other classes included: Tai, Reflexology, Cranial Sacral, Cupping, and some in the past few years have been the most exciting and revolutionary: Lomi Lomi (Hawaiian) Orthopedic, breast, Tuina and even Ashiatsu- Oriental Bar Therapy which is barefoot massage. The bars are suspended from the ceiling for balance and it is a very luxurious, very deep massage. Unlike anything I’ve ever experienced!
Over the past couple of years I've had several clients that have urged me to continue my education to include "EYELASH EXTENSIONS" but I was hesitant. I was afraid that it was just a trend, and honestly, I love massage! I didn't like that you could take a 2 day course and be qualified. But in April Texas changed the regulations! Now you have to have 320 hours and pass a state board, and be licensed. So I did and I am!
I completed my training at the Sol Salon & Spa Academy in Carrollton, and now have my Cosmetology license as an Eyelash Extension Specialist.
I am glad that my clients persuaded me to do this! I love offering this service! It gives me one more opportunity to help women feel good about themselves. And no more mascara! What a deal!!!
